One challenge remained unaddressed, how does an organisation assess their maturity, then improve and manage their uplift program without engaging expensive security consultants or hiring specially trained staff?

Most businesses would receive thick, glossy reports that were reviewed once and then forgotten. They highlighted problems but failed to guide teams through the work needed to improve. There was no simple, scalable way to operationalise security without hiring specialists or relying heavily on consultants.
